- Whoopi Goldberg was censored on *The View.*

- The cohosts reacted in shock to the Oscar-winning actress' words, which were muted on the air.

- After EW reached out for clarification over the censored word, Goldberg had an outburst on the air.

Whoopi Goldberg made a remark that was censored on live TV on Thursday's *The View*, and later had a bizarre outburst on the air after ** reached out to a show representative for comment.

Shortly after the 69-year-old announced conservative Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene's upcoming appearance on the show, Goldberg said that the ongoing, historic U.S. government shutdown "should not be affecting the American people," and that "these are decisions that you don't have the right to..." and appeared to begin saying the F-word.

In the video above, the show's audio can be heard cutting out, censoring whatever Goldberg said next.

When the audio came back on during the broadcast, the audience could be heard gasping — while cohost Alyssa Farah Griffin raised her hands to her face in shock, and Sunny Hostin pursed her lips.

"You caught it!" Griffin said, though Goldberg kept her own hands over her face for several seconds as she playfully looked around with a comical expression on her face.

"Well, you know where I'm at," Goldberg said, before throwing the show to a commercial break.

EW then sent an email to a show representative noting that it appeared that Goldberg had cursed and requesting comment on the censored moment, as is standard journalism practice.**

The show's publicist did not respond to EW's comment request, but when the show returned from a commercial break minutes later, Goldberg addressed the incident on the air.

"Just so we're all clear, our people just got a call, saying, 'Whoopi just said a bad word. Do you have a comment?' I didn't say the bad word. I did not say it," she said. "But, so, I know that you're sitting, waiting for me to do something, waiting for something to happen. Could you just watch the show? I'd appreciate it if you just watched the show, and then you'll know what really went on."

She continued, saying, "And do play it back the 50 times that you're going to do."

When Joy Behar asked if the request for comment came from a viewer, Goldberg clarified to her cohost that, "No, it came from one of our fans, you know, the guys who sit and wait for something to report on? I just have to clear that up for them."

EW has reached back out to *The View *for comment on Goldberg's new remarks.

This is far from the first time the show's cohosts have been censored on the air for using profanity during the broadcasts. Sara Haines, Ana Navarro, and Goldberg herself have all been muted on the air for words they've used during past broadcasts, per rules prohibiting certain profanity on broadcast television during specific time periods.

Taylor Sheridan and Peter Berg have found their next action-packed collaboration: a feature film adaptation of *Call of Duty*.

** has learned that the *Yellowstone* creator and *Friday Night Lights *writer-director have signed on to produce the film alongside Paramount and Activision, the video game publisher behind the blockbuster game. Sheridan and Berg will also co-write the script together, with Berg set to direct.

Sheridan, best known for creating a vast empire of television shows that began with *Yellowstone*, has teamed up with Berg in the past. Together, the longtime friends produced 2017's *Wind River* — which recently enjoyed a resurgence on streaming — and 2016's *Hell or Highwater*, which earned four Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture and Best Screenplay.

As far as their action capabilities, Sheridan previously penned *Sicario* and its sequel, while Berg directed espionage thriller *Mile 22*, war film *Lone Survivor*, and action-comedy *Spenser Confidential*.

The* Call of Duty *franchise has been the No. 1 best-selling video game series in the U.S. for 16 consecutive years, with over 500 million copies sold globally and reaching hundreds of millions of players worldwide. No plot or character details have been announced for the upcoming movie, though the filmmakers certainly won't lack inspiration. The series has seen dozens of releases across the years, with the first-person shooter games typically following a group or individual in the midst of a military conflict. Settings have ranged from the Cold War and World War II to fictional, futuristic timelines.

News of a* Call of Duty *movie emerged earlier this year, with *Puck* reporting that Paramount had turned down a pitch from Steven Spielberg to adapt the game into a feature film.

Sheridan's latest Paramount collaboration comes on the heels of a major shakeup in his TV empire: the *Yellowstone* creator is departing the studio after inking a five-year overall deal for film, TV, and streaming with NBCUniversal. Starting in 2029, Sheridan will be creating new IP for the network.

After beginning his Hollywood career as an actor, Sheridan has become one of the most prolific television creators of the decade. His TV deal with Paramount, which lasts through 2028, has spawned such series as *Mayor of Kingstown, Landman, Special Ops: Lioness, Tulsa King*, and several *Yellowstone *spinoffs such as *The Madison, 1883, and 1923. *

Comparatively, Sheridan's feature film projects have been fewer and far between, with titles including 2021's* Those Who Wish Me Dead* and his upcoming thriller, *F.A.S.T.,* starring Brandon Sklenar.**

Adam Scott's daughter, Francesca "Frankie" Scott, gave a nod to one of her dad's most famous movies, Step Brothers, for Halloween 2025, and the look had him "beaming with pride."

"There are days when a daughter makes her father absolutely beam with pride… today is one of those days," the Parks and Recreation star said beside a video of his 17-year-old wearing a short, curly wig, a sweater vest, and khaki shorts with her friend while paying homage to Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly's iconic characters, Brennan Huff and Dale Doback. The duo can be seen dancing and lip synching to "Boats N' Hoes," the viral song from the film. "Happy [Halloween!]" Scott added.

Fans were absolutely loving the costumes and the performance, and rushed to the 52-year-old's comment section to share their support. "This is insanely good," said one fan, while another added, "The best thing I've seen on IG all day." Another called the costumes "incredible," while a fourth predicted, "They've been doing this since they were in diapers!"

Many fans wanted to see the Severance star reprise his role and join the teens for Halloween, with one saying, "Please tell me you're Derek."

The video was a rare glimpse into Scott's family life, as he shows Frankie and her older brother Graham very infrequently on social media. In fact, when Frankie posted a TikTok spoofing The Kardashians with her dad in June 2025, many were shocked to learn Scott had a teen daughter at all!

"Adam Scott is old enough to have a baddie daughter? What!" said one fan, while another wrote, "Love that ur dad is casually Adam Scott." A third added, "This was me finding out he's 52. Omg, he hasn't aged since Parks and Rec," and a fourth said, "There is no way Adam Scott is someone's dad!"

Scott became a father in 2005 when he welcomed his son, Graham, with his wife, Naomi Scott. The duo completed their family in 2008, with the birth of Frankie. "I couldn't do it without Naomi," he told SheKnows in January 2019. "We have a great partnership at home and professionally, so it makes the family juggling act that much easier when we can all be together."

Woody Harrelson has no interest in doing another season of *True Detective.*

Only a few months after creator Nic Pizzolatto shared he had a new idea for a season starring Harrelson and Matthew McConaughey, Harrelson has revealed in a new interview that he "never" wants to return to the HBO series.

On Friday's *3rd Hour of Today*, host Dylan Dreyer told Harrelson that McConaughey said he and Harrelson would be into doing another season if they "think it's good enough."

"Matthew's so funny," Harrelson said in response. "But in fairness, never. Not a chance."

Harrelson added that he only has positive reasons for not wanting to reprise his role of Det. Marty Hart in the mystery thriller drama.

"Because it turned out great," he said. "I love that it turned out the way it did. If anything, doing another season would, I think, tarnish that."

Harrelson's comments come as a surprise because earlier this year, Pizzolatto revealed that he has an idea for a new season of the show that would bring Harrelson and McConaughey back as Marty Hart and Rust Cohle, respectively. At the time, the former showrunner claimed that there were ongoing conversations with the actors about it.

"I actually have another story for Cohle and Hart that, who knows, maybe we'll do it one day," Pizzolatto said on the *Nothing Left Unsaid* podcast in May. "It's character-based again.... But it's not something I've written or anything. It's just [that] I had that in my head, and we've talked about getting back together and doing it. I think the guys are open to it. It's just a question of whether that would ever happen or not."

Harrelson and McConaughey starred in the first season of the HBO anthology series* *in 2014. The series won five Emmys for that season, and both actors were nominated for their performances.

*True Detective *continued in subsequent seasons with all-new casts, led by Colin Farrell, Rachel McAdams, Mahershala Ali, Taylor Kitsch, Vince Vaughn, Jodie Foster, and more.

Harrelson and McConaughey will next be seen together in the new Apple TV+ comedy series *Brother From Another Mother*, playing fictionalized versions of themselves living together on McConaughey's Texas ranch. A release date has not yet been set.**

"American Horror Story" is going all out for its grandiose 13th season, luring Jessica Lange back to the franchise and Ariana Grande back to television acting more than a decade later.

Ryan Murphy's horror anthology series unveiled its audacious cast on Halloween, Friday, Oct. 31, flaunting a lineup that includes many familiar faces, including franchise favorites Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates and Emma Roberts.

Longtime fans ascended after reading Lange's name in the casting announcement on Instagram, rejoicing that the original cast member will grace their screens since her 2014 exit. The 76-year-old actress played Constance Langdon in Season 1 (Murder House), Sister Jude Martin in Season 2 (Asylum), Fiona Goode in Season 3 (Coven) and Elsa Mars in Season 4 (Freak Show).

Indulging in her successful acting career, Grande's "AHS" debut also marks the pop star's first acting role in a TV show since 2015's "Scream Queens." While continuing her music career with her upcoming "Eternal Sunshine" tour, the singer has leaned into her acting roots, playing Glinda in both "Wicked" and the upcoming sequel "Wicked For Good."

- Influencer Tricia Mpisi was drenched in champagne during a mishap at a *Wicked* screening in 2024.

- Mpisi said that Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande both helped clean her up and lift her spirits after the spill.

- The influencer thanked the actresses for their assistance: "They're such kind human beings."

Sometimes uncomfortable experiences can be changed for good.

Tricia Mpisi, a South African influencer who attended an early screening of *Wicked* in 2024, detailed how Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande rescued her from an unfortunate incident in which a glass of champagne spilled all over her.

In a TikTok reflecting on the experience posted Thursday, Mpisi said she was "supremely excited" to see the film and meet the actresses behind Elphaba and Glinda. "Until it came time to take a group picture," she explained. "As we say 'Cheese,' this glass spills on my head."

In footage capturing the incident, Erivo can be heard calling, "We need tissues, right now, right now!"

Mpisi recalled her panic as the chaos unfolded. "I looked down, and I see something break, and then before you know it, I feel something warm go into my eyes," she remembered. "And I also had mascara and makeup on."

Though she didn't melt into a puddle upon getting drenched, the champagne still brought a burning sensation. "The alcohol mixed with the mascara is burning my eyes," Mpisi explained. "And I'm a crybaby and a scaredy cat, okay? I don't know what's happening, I start to panic a little bit because I can't see."

But thank goodness, Mpisi received multiple helping hands. "As my eyes are closed and burning, I feel somebody hold me and they're like, 'This is Cynthia Erivo. We're gonna find you a chair now, okay? You're gonna be okay,'" she remembered. "I didn't know that it was champagne at the time. It could have been acid, as far as I was concerned, okay?"

Mpisi went on to explain that somebody sat her in a chair as Erivo held her. "I'm struggling to open my eyes, and I feel somebody wiping my eyes and my hands," she remembered. "I'm hearing their voices, and obviously I recognize Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande's voice. And both of them were so sweet and so kind and took the time to comfort me until I started to feel better and started smiling."

The influencer was remorseful about the champagne stains on her outfit. "Part of me was like, 'Oh no, I hate that my dress is ruined and now we're gonna go to the premiere,'" she said.

That's when the Good Witch of the North weighed in. "Ariana Grande was like, 'Oh don't worry, we can cancel the premiere,'" Mpisi said. "And then so I started to laugh, I was like, 'Really? You would cancel the premiere for me?' And she was like 'Yeah, I know a guy.' Literally, like Ariana Grande wiped me clean."

Mpisi also said Erivo ensured that she was champagne-free before the screening began. "She made sure that the alcohol was nowhere to be found," the influencer said of the *Widows* star. "And when I calmed down, she looked at me, and she was like, 'You're okay.' And I was like, 'I'm okay.'"

Mpisi said that she's not accustomed to strangers tending to each other's needs. "I live in South Africa, guys. People will literally watch somebody get mugged and be like, 'Eh, not my problem,' or they just don't wanna get involved for the sake of their own safety," she explained. "So the fact that Cynthia and Ariana did means a lot to me. I think they're such kind human beings."

The influencer continued, "They turned one of the most embarrassing moments into one of the most memorable, human moments of my life. So I really, really appreciate the kindness. I will remember this for a very long time. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande, if you guys are watching, thank you so much for making me feel better."**

- *Love Is Blind *season 9 brought together singles in Denver.**

- Six couples got engaged in the pods, but only two made it to the altar.

- Reunion revelations included relationship updates, new babies, and other surprises.

Since premiering on Netflix in 2020, *Love Is Blind* has conducted an ongoing "experiment" in which singles endeavor to fall in love (and propose marriage) without ever seeing their would-be partner.

Typically, at least one couple per season says "I do," but season 9's cast of Denver singles broke that pattern completely. Only two of its six couples made it to the altar, and neither left with rings on their fingers.

It's been a little over a year since filming wrapped, and the cast recently came back together for a reunion special. Hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey, the gathering offered several apologies, some juicy gossip about post-filming hook-ups, and the announcement that one former participant is now a mom.

Here's the full breakdown on where the *Love Is Blind *season 9 former couples stand today.

Megan and Jordan

**Status:** No longer together

Jordan and "Sparkle" Megan seemed like a great match, connecting through humor, passion, and shared history. Right before the wedding, however, Megan called off the engagement due to their lifestyles and priorities being too different. She also realized that parenting, specifically becoming a stepmom to Jordan's young son, was more daunting than she thought.

During the reunion, the former couple looked back on their journey before Megan surprised everyone with a shocking life update: She's now a mom.

After filming wrapped, Megan began dating Paul, a friend of a friend, and found herself pregnant after just three months of dating. Megan has since welcomed a baby boy named Brooks, whom she described as her "whole world."

She added, "I now know more than ever I was meant on this earth to be a mom. He's amazing and our family is very happy."

Jordan shared that he knew about Megan's baby, explaining that he reached out after "some disgusting person" messaged him on Instagram trying to stir up drama.

"She was very transparent, which I appreciate," he said. "If I would've found out right here, right now I think that would have been jarring, so I appreciate the transparency and the honesty. You're gonna be great parents, and I have no doubt in my mind about that."**

Kalybriah and Edmond

**Status:** No longer together

Kalybriah and Edmond made it to the altar. Edmond said yes, but KB turned him down, saying he deserves someone who is fully ready for marriage.

After getting engaged in the pods, KB and Edmond struggled with communication and frequently argued over intimacy and off-camera behavior. Despite their best efforts to make it work, the problems proved to be too great, and they split in the season 9 finale.

At the reunion, KB said she felt Edmond's emotional outbursts were manipulative. Edmond denied that, saying, "It just hurts hearing her say that. I don't think I'm trying to be like that. I think it's coming off like that, but I need you to understand that I wouldn't make the same mistake again."

After some heated back-and-forth, the former couple ended on a positive note and shared a hug.**

Ali and Anton

Anton and Ali in 'Love Is Blind' season 9

Courtesy of Netflix

**Status:** No longer together

The first couple to get engaged in *Love Is Blind *season 9 was Ali and Anton. All signs pointed to them having a successful marriage, but things got difficult when they moved in together. The couple fought about money, household chores, and Anton's alleged reputation as a party animal.

At the altar, Anton said "I do." Ali, however, said she couldn't marry him because, in her words, "The person that I fell in love with in the pods isn't the person I've gotten to experience in real life."

The exes hashed things out at the reunion. Ali claimed it was really difficult to have "any serious, real deep conversations" with him. Anton said he was "sick" of hearing about all of this and later revealed that he's been dating his new girlfriend, Miranda, for a year. Ali chose not to share any details about her love life.**

Madison and Joe

**Status:** No longer together

From the start, it was pretty obvious that things between Madison and Joe weren't going to work out the way they hoped. Joe admitted that Madison wasn't his usual type and treated her poorly after a night of hard partying during the cast's post-pod engagement trip to Mexico.

As the experiment went on, Joe's nerves only got worse, especially as Madison's excitement for their future together grew. He reached a breaking point during his tux fitting and called off the engagement, leaving Madison heartbroken.

After filming, Joe briefly dated fellow cast member Kacie, though their relationship quickly fizzled out. At the reunion, Madison claimed that Joe's chemistry with Kacie "affected [her] engagement," though Kacie claimed she and Joe didn't connect until after he split with Madison. Madison also revealed that Kacie once joked they were "Eskimo sisters."

Madison and Joe also revealed that they met for dinner a few weeks after leaving the show and ended up making out, though Madison said the encounter didn't bring her any closure.

She also admitted it was "very frustrating" to watch the season back, particularly when Joe made comments about her body. "In today's day and age, it's unacceptable to talk about somebody in that way," she said. Joe apologized for his remarks.

As for their current love lives, Madison appears to be single, while Joe has moved on with his current girlfriend, a dating coach named Averee Madison.**

Annie and Nick

**Status:** No longer together

Trust ended up being what that tore Annie and Nick apart. Annie constantly worried about Nick's commitment, convincing herself she loved him more than he loved her and questioning whether he actually cared about her. It all became too much for Nick, who broke up with Annie despite her pleas to stay. He told Annie he was unhappy and didn't want to get married, and they went their separate ways.

At the reunion, Nick responded to accusations that he "love-bombed" Annie and his other pod connection, Kait. He apologized to Kait, but she dismissed it as "performative" and said that, in the pods, it felt like Nick "went into ChatGPT and looked up pickup lines for how to get a girl to fall for you."

Annie stood up for her ex-fiancé, saying she believed Nick's intentions were "genuine." Looking back, though, she admitted it was pretty clear they were trying to force a relationship that wasn't meant to be.

Today, the two remain on "friendly" terms. Annie is in a new relationship, while Nick is single.**

Kacie and Patrick

**Status:** No longer together

Kacie and Patrick were the first *Love Is Blind *season 9 couple to call it quits.

After getting engaged and meeting in person, Kacie began having doubts and told production she wasn't attracted to Patrick before heading home. Patrick suggested giving things a try back at home, but later revealed that he hadn't seen his former fiancée since leaving the pods. She also refused to give him back the engagement ring.

The two confronted the awkward situation at the reunion. Kacie said her heart broke rewatching their final moments on the show together. She also claimed that Patrick told her she could keep the engagement ring, which he denied.

He said that it seemed Kacie was having a "hard time" telling him the truth about why she bailed on their budding relationship, though, as he previously told EW, he's not as "clueless" as he may have appeared.

Kacie also addressed her brief post-show fling with Joe, which Patrick admitted he "had no idea" about prior to the reunion.

After a tense exchange, Kacie ultimately apologized to Patrick and handed the engagement ring back to him (via Nick Lachey). But he returned it to her after she beat him in a friendly basketball game (with a little help from Los Angeles Clippers player Chris Paul).**
